In support of Daffodil Day, Taylor Brothers Transport supplied and carted two huge loads of mulch to spread on a Community Daffodil Project at no cost.
Rod & Chris Millar (Cambridge) are extremely grateful for the support they received and had this to say:
“This project was started by us several years ago after a family member was diagnosed with cancer (all good now thankfully) so we wanted to help others. Now all the blooms available in Daffodil Week go to our local Cancer Society so that they don’t have to purchase them (more profit for them). Picked and bunched by Girl Guides from around the Waikato, they are then given away to people in communities that are in need of a smile.”
The daffodils also go to Waikato Hospital, Hospice, Rainbow Place, Lions Lodge and Mobile Breast screening amongst others.
